A Power Session of Simcenter STAR-CCM+: a single instance of Simcenter STAR-CCM+ that solves on an unlimited number of CPU threads, with no HPC or Power Tokens needed. A session includes all pre- and post-processing functionalities, as well as the full range of multiphysics capabilities, and may be run interactively or in batch on local or remote compute resources.
Power Session Plus: everything in a Power Session, plus solving on an unlimited number of GPU threads. It’s the right choice for teams running on GPU hardware or planning to move to it.

Once you need roughly 12 or more CPU threads on a regular basis (a Session license plus about 11 Power Tokens), a Power Session usually becomes the more economical choice, and it removes the core limit entirely.
